The competition aims to project a children’s day care on a pier gained to the sea, considering the current cultural activities (Stichting Het Stenen Hoofd). It is requested to potentiate the relationship of classrooms with the outside to promote both the intellectual and physical children’s education.
The Day care Center is  organized along the south border of the pier, providing for the maximum of sun light into the classrooms and patios, and creatinfg a continuous relation between the cheerful indoors and the busier nautical outdoors. The only exceptions are the smaller classrooms wich have a more private and restful sent. The interior organization of each tpe of classroom tooki in consideration the range of ages and the necessities and vision of each stage of growth.
